Directed by Whitney Pintello Commemorate our 10th Year Season With Us! To kick off their Tenth Anniversary Season, Pintello Comedy Theater will present an encore performance of Neil Simon's Rumors. Opening on February 3rd, 2012, this American theater classic comedy features an all-new cast, including PCT owners Rod and Marion Pintello. At a fancy party in a posh New York home, all the guests are there, but where are the hosts? Clever and quick-paced, Rumors entertains with mistaken identities, sudden exits, misunderstood and overheard conversations, from lights up to curtain call. Directed by Whitney Pintello, a member of the original cast, the play was produced eight years ago in their theater on Church Street, and directed by Whitney's mom, Marion Pintello. Now with their roles reversed the two Pintello women are still having fun with the show. "The language, the situation, the relationships, the play is so well written, the laughs are built in," smiles Whitney. "No wonder Neil Simon is America's most popular playwright," adds Marion. Produced by Rod and Marion Pintello, the comedy play is being presented in the Gilroy Grange Hall at 8191 Swanston Lane in Gilroy. The popular comedy troupe, now in their tenth year in Gilroy, continues to present full-length comedy plays featuring local actors, comfortable table seating, coffee and cookies, and their trademark friendly welcome. Now pouring wine from local vintners, Pintello Comedy Theater continues to deserve their designation as the south valley's Best Theater. The energetic cast of Rumors is made up, as always, of very talented local actors. Returning to Pintello Comedy Theater stage are actors Ariane Borgia, Katie DeSantis, Tom Hepner, Joline Masten, Jon Reed and Valerie Vanni, along with Marion and Rod Pintello. New to the PCT stage and returning to acting after a bit of a sabbatical is Brad Nye. Opening night at the cabaret-style theater will be Friday, February 3rd, with performances continuing Friday and Saturday nights through February 25th, plus one Sunday matinee on February 19th.
